Introducing Breakdown Analytics
The Customer & The Mechanic
Most software starts with a company trying to sell you something. This started with a customer trying to help his mechanic.
I’m Sherman. I’ve been a customer of Tait’s at Hon-man Auto Care for over 25 years. Tait is a specialist—he’s been running his shop since 2000, and if you check his reviews, you’ll see why I never even considered buying a car that wasn’t a Honda. I simply didn’t want to go to a different shop.
The “Favor” That Became a Company
A while back, Tait asked me for help. He runs a tight ship—he prides himself on transparency and honesty—but like every shop owner, he was facing a massive problem: he couldn’t search the data in his shop software the way he could back when he just used excel spreadsheets.
He had decades of experience and thousands of past repair orders, but he really had to work hard to bring that data to the surface. If a technician wanted to know, “How did we fix that rattle in the dash on a 2012 Civic three years ago?”, they had to rely on memory or dig through digital filing cabinets.
So, we built a search engine to get at that data. Fast.
Tait started using it every single day. His team started using it every single day. We realized we hadn’t just built a search engine; we had unlocked the shop’s “Institutional Memory”.
Upgrade Your Shop’s Grey Matter
We realized that ROsearch solved three massive headaches that every independent shop faces, essentially acting as a “cognitive upgrade” for the team:
• Search (Stop Digging): In this business, time is inventory. Instead of wasting time looking for old records, you can find any job, part, or symptom in sub-second speed.
• Diagnose (The “Precedent” Method): ROsearch lets techs diagnose from precedent. They can instantly see every time your shop has fixed a specific issue, effectively “cloning” the experience of your best master tech.
• Estimate (Fact-Based Pricing): Service advisors hate guessing. With ROsearch, they can give “ballpark” figures based on the actual final bill of similar past jobs, or build detailed complex quotes based on historical jobs.
The Hard Work is “Under the Hood”
We know you already have a Shop Management System for your accounting and scheduling. We aren’t trying to replace it.
ROsearch is designed to sit on top of your existing system.
We handled the heavy lifting: syncing with complex APIs, indexing massive amounts of data, and structuring “dark data” so it’s actually usable.
You get the simple part: A Google-like interface that requires zero training. If you can use a web browser, you can use ROsearch.
